Hull Ionians created plenty of pressure and chances but let them slip,
Tigers taking the lead with a close range converted try and an interception try
run from their own line. The final session saw Hull Ionians reapplying all the
pressure and tries from Adam Thomas and Chris Starling both converted by Joe
Wright gave a 14-12 score line in a game where both teams gained useful lessons,
but perhaps spoilt by a lack of Tigers props meaning uncontested scrums
throughout.
