Darlington Mowden Park  were given a Christmas present by Newcastle Falcons - a handful of players looking for a game and with a point to prove to their Premiership club. Ten minutes into the game they set a standard of pace and brilliant handling, the rest of the Park team rose to the challenge to match it, then somehow maintained the standard for the full match. As a consequence  their team ran in five tries in each half, 9 conversions and two penalties. To those that enjoy rugby, the running, handling and support skills on display were brilliant and normally only seen at the highest level. It was just a pity that Park chose this match to do it.
